มว. และสถาบันมาตรวิทยาแห่งชาติของประเทศเยอรมัน (The Physikalisch – Technische Bundesanstalt : PTB), Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) และ Asia-Pacific Legal Metrology Forum (AMPLF) ร่วมกันดำเนินโครงการ Metrology – Enabling Developing Economies in Asia (MEDEA) ภายใต้แนวคิด “CABUREK” (“Capacity Building in Technical and Scientific Organizations Using Regional Experience and Knowledge”) ในปีนี้ มว. ได้รับเกียรติเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการดังกล่าว ในหัวข้อเรื่อง “Awareness Raising for Metrology” โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนางานด้านมาตรวิทยาทางวิทยาศาสตร์การวัดและการบังคับใช้กฎหมายของประเทศกำลังพัฒนาในเอเชีย มีผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมจากสถาบันมาตรวิทยาของประเทศในภูมิภาคเอเชียจำนวน 40 คน ณ โรงแรมเซ็นทาราแกรนด์ แอท เซ็นทรัลพลาซา ลาดพร้าว กรุงเทพฯ
